Hydrogen 1.0.0-beta1 released

Hi everyone,

i'm happy to announce the first beta release of Hydrogen 1.0.0-beta1.

It includes the following features:

  • QT5 support
  • Midi feedback
  • OSC support (incl. feedback)
  • Playback track
  • Menu redesign
  • Note probability property
  • Velocity automation
  • Full screen mode
  • New default kit: GMRockKit

The source code and the binaries (for Windows) are available at SourceForge. Due to some last-minute problems with mxe and our build system the windows binaries are lacking jack and OSC support, but i hope this problem can be solved in a beta2 release.

As always, this release was a true community effort and made possible with the help of numerous people from all over the globe.

Final 1.0.0 suggestions

Love Hydrogen, but can you please add a reverb option to the mixer and fix the MIDI exporting problem? Thanks!

Also, saving new drum kit libraries are empty with no sound. Might wanna check that out, too.

You can load any LADSPA

You can load any LADSPA reverb in the mixer. See for more information.

About the "MIDI exporting problem", it would need more explanation from you. What kind of issue do you have with MIDI export? A few problem/issue with MIDI have already been fixed on 1.0.0-beta1. Did you try it? Does you' "MIDI exporting problem" still exist in 1.0.0-beta1?

About save new drum kit, same here, we would need more information from you (what version of hydrogen, what operating system and version, steps to reproduce the issue, ...).

Happy drumming!

The beta1 pre-release are

The beta1 pre-release are already available but be careful that they are beta so they might still suffer from some bugs.

If you were requesting about "when does the final 1.0 version will be available", then like often with free software: "it'll be available when ready".

Please, give us more precisions in your question if you expect a more precise answer.

Happy drumming!

Congratulations to everyone involved!

You all rocks!
